BCDP Project Selection
BCDP projects are reflective of the needs of the communities in which they are located. All project ideas and proposals are developed at the level of the Joint Community Councils or they are implemented on the recommendation of the Member of Parliament after vetting by the Community Council. Projects are selected on the basis of their viability, the extent to which they will be effective in improving the quality of life of the affected communities, and their compatibility with the socio-economic environment in which they are being implemented.

Implementation of Projects
To properly carry out its objectives, the Institute relies on the expertise of various agencies referred to as implementing agencies. These agencies include the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture, the Rural Agricultural Development Agency, Parish Councils, the Postal Corporation ofJamaica, the National Water Commission, the H.E.A.R.T. Trust/NTA, the Ministry of Education, and the Jamaica Public Service Company.
Implementation of Projects
